The Institute for Global Sustainability at the University of Vermont is offering a five-day (July 7-11, 2008) intensive leadership program:
Sustainable Business - Practices in Support of People, Profits and Principles.

Instructors are UVM faculty as well as leaders from some of the most innovative businesses who have proven that business practices supporting the vitality of their people and the planet are the competitive advantage to profitability today. Participants will learn directly through projects with and visits to leading socially responsible businesses:

   2. Seventh Generation
   3. NRG Systems
   4. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters

In the collaborative classroom of the Sustainable Business program, practitioners are teachers and learners, exchanging ideas and growing the network of people committed to integrating social, human, built and natural capital into their competitive advantage.

Registration is open, but filling up quickly!  The Professional Certificate in Sustainable Business program is available through the university at a special non-credit rate.  For only $1,357, you are enrolled in the 5-day program which includes travel to two leading businesses, the Luncheon Leadership Lecture Series, instruction, three meals per day and all course materials.  A three-credit option is also available for people interested in earning academic credit toward an MBA or another degree.
