SF Composts is a one sided story
As a San Francisco resident I agree with the general tenor of the story. And yes I know it was basically a press release in the form of a news story. But why do they not say how much diesel fuel is used to transport all of this material to Vacaville where it is then composted. Why do they not discuss how they could do it better? There there hundreds of underutilized acres within blocks of the transfer facility. Or move the material by rail. There is an operational railroad siding across the street from the transfer facility. This article, to the people that know more than the information given in the actual article, certainly has some quotient of greenwashing to it.
