Dear Anonymous -- on the basis of your tortured logic, clearly there were no trees in existence before we were good enough to start supplying them with CO2 from coal-fired power stations.

Back to reality now, I don't know where this "trees" argument is coming from -- there are trolls on just about every plausible web site who are making this completely nonsensical claim. *sigh*.
