CAP and TRADE(TAX)
CAP and TRADE(TAX) ENRON type trading scheme puts the entire U.S. economy at risk.
It will cause terrible spikes in electric bills
and everything else we purchase.
It will lower the standard of living for the middle
class and increase taxes. It would change freedom in America forever.
Why would anyone want socialism?
CAP AND TRADE(TAX)is forcing ENRON onto everyone.
Cap and Trade is a Tax (and beware of unions)
The cap and trade system is a 650 billion dollar stealth tax that will drive up the cost of energy for every taxpayer.
The real purpose of the cap & trade system is to tilt the playing field against carbon producing industries in favor of non-carbon producing industries.
Meanwhile, as it takes 20-30 years for renewables to take hold in this country, the government gets a 650 billion dollar per year windfall profit.
What do they plan to do with this profit. SUBSIDIZE taxpayers for the higher costs of energy they will be experiencing.
Has anyone noticed how the unions are taking over green organizations and jumping in bed in the Obama government over green legislation? If the unions have their way, every good green job will be a union job.
Just as the unions have strangled and killed off most of the U.S. car industry, they now plan to do the same thing in the renewable energy / green industry.
For instance, Obama's new "car czar" has heavy duty union credentials. Obama wants the U. S. car industry to move to "green" car production but he wants the unions to lock up the labor and keep other workers OUT who would work for less money than the unions.
The dirty little secret in Detroit is that if GM offered those automotive plant jobs at half the wages / benefits that the unions are getting, they'd have lines miles long ringing their plants of workers looking to happily accept those jobs. But what you see is union workers within those plants, with really heavy duty high wages, benefits and retirement, staring out at the rest of Detroit workers who are starving, and saying "your not working here, you aren't UNION workers!".
Anyways, I see Cap and Trade and the union sneak up on the green movement as two scenarios that show whats wrong with this country.
