Michael Meehan is Carbonetworks' President & CEO and is responsible for the company's operational and strategic direction. As one of the company founders he created the Carbonetworks concept and was originally the primary architect of the network. Michael's professional history spans a decade in software, including senior roles in product management, marketing and technology development.

As one of the company founders he created the Carbonetworks concept and was originally the primary architect of the network. Michael's professional history spans a decade in software, including senior roles in product management, marketing and technology development. Prior to joining Carbonetworks, Michael held senior positions in systems management and software service vendors, and also founded the Climate Resource, an online climate change information provider. Michael is a guest columnist for Point Carbon’s Trading Carbon Magazine, ClimateBiz, and Cleantechnica. He holds a, undergraduate degree in environmental studies and an MBA from the University of Victoria.
